Summer job opportunity for Grade 11 students

The WISEST Summer Research Program (SRP) is unlike any other summer job that you could possibly imagine! Grade 11 female and gender non-conforming students are encouraged to apply. WISEST is planning to return to in-person SRP program this summer but are prepared to have a virtual program if the pandemic dictates.

Applications are now open until March 25.

Share your journey with Southern Alberta students

Praxis is planning to showcase women in Alberta science and their career and education journeys across their social media and website. Praxis is looking for volunteers to submit short (~3 minute) videos to support this initiative. Target audience is rural students.

Funding Opportunities

The Calgary Foundation offers Every Woman Can: The Maria Eriksen Memorial Bursary to an immigrant woman in Alberta attending school to return to her pre-immigration field of work. There are 5 awards of $2000, deadline to apply is June 15th. Visit their website for more information and to apply.

U of C WISE is accepting applications until March 14 for their 2022-2023 team.

MentorUP Edmonton is looking to fill various key volunteer opportunities for the 2021 year, including Co-Chairs, Communications Manager, and event Planners. If you are interested in applying, please contact Horazio at mentorupedm@gmail.com.
