Marjorie Zingle

Marjorie Zingle, 81-year-old business warrior is the only woman in the world to own a data centre 100 per cent, in a male-dominated industry. Her company, DataHive, has made significant contributions to the Internet in Alberta. She is one of the Top 7 over 70 Awards and was one of the 'Magnificent Seven" in this first Award for people who continue to contribute to business and community. Fourteen years ago , at age 68, Marjorie took over a defunct data centre and without prior industry knowledge converted it into a very stable business and was instrumental attracting and installing 2 internet backbones to Calgary.
